Jenny Sharp has been working with glass for over twentyfive years.
She first studied at the City Lit and later completed her City and Guilds Certificate and Diploma. Jenny was in the last cohort to study the Post Graduate Certificate at Central Saint Martins before the move of site closed the course.
She has a studio near the Thames Barrier which allows her to carry out commissions, develop her art works and teach stained glass classes for beginners. Jenny is interested in layering and printing on glass, fusing and slumping to give different dimensions and textures.
In 2014 she completed a collaborative commission for Colchester Radiotherapy Centre which is on permanent display at the new hospital
Jenny regularly shows her work, selling at local venues and yearly events. She is part of an alumni group formed after attending the last cohort of students at Central Saint Martins Post Graduate Certificate.
From 1st January 2024 I will no longer be practicing stained glass, and am leaving my studio. However I do have stock left of map bowls, panels and other items. Do contact me if you would like to know more.
